about
Born in Margate, NJ, and raised in Los Angeles, Adam Aronesty is a saxophonist and composer whose sound reflects a life spent moving between musical worlds. Now based in Brooklyn, he brings a lyrical voice and a deep rhythmic awareness to the bandstand, drawing from a wide range of jazz traditions and experimental currents.
Whether touring nationally or performing at venues like Jazz at Lincoln Center, Chris’s Jazz Café, and major jazz festivals, Adam is drawn to music that speaks across generations. He has opened for legends including Kenny Garrett, Terence Blanchard, and Abdullah Ibrahim, and continues to collaborate with a new wave of improvisers reshaping the jazz landscape.
As a sideman, Adam records for both original projects and media productions. Recent work includes Jacobo Vega-Albela’s album Un-Belonging and Digba Ogunbiyi’s upcoming 2026 release.
A graduate of the Eastman School of Music, he has performed alongside Christian McBride, Dafnis Prieto, Jeremy Pelt, and Ryan Keberle—experiences that have shaped both his technical and artistic capabilities.
Offstage, Adam is a dedicated educator, leading private instruction and group masterclasses for emerging musicians committed to developing a personal voice in the music.
